Building a new school while running an existing one has its challenges but the school senior leadership team were determined to get the very best for their new site. The new school building was planned with a light and airy multipurpose hall at its heart.
This hall needed to allow for all the normal demands placed upon it such as meal times, physical education, assemblies and acts of worship, as well as community use. The school also really wanted to equip the space with a stage and lights to use for performances.
“When we saw the OpusPrimary demonstrated we realised we could have lights, a sound system, projection and a stage, I couldn’t quite believe what we could achieve within the budget. The school really wanted to equip the new school hall with a stage and lights to use for performances
but we didn’t think we had the budget, Opus changed that.” said Helen Burge, School Business Manager
St Anne’s is using the system regularly to enhance their curriculum activities but it has also become a indispensable tool outside the teaching timetable.
Lisa Dadds Head Teacher: “I have been extremely pleased with the installation of the OpusPrimary System we get real value from it. We were shown how the system worked and we haven’t looked back…”
Jeanette Morris, Teaching assistant in reception, explains: “Having sound, lights and a stage is such a confidence boost for the children, it gives them such a great platform and it is a dream to use. The children from across the school have already been up onstage in role play, performing puppetry and dancing”.
