In June 2015 King’s Rochester celebrated the studio’s opening by staging the existentialist French play, Huis Clos (No Exit). Performed by Lower Sixth AS students, the OpusSystem sound and lighting were significant features of the ambitious production and helped to create the tense atmosphere required. At the time, the school wrote: “The new system will greatly enhance the teaching of drama at all levels at King’s. Pupils from a very young age will have access to this high tech equipment which provides a wonderful opportunity to get involved in the technical production side of theatre and drama.”

The bluetooth functionality is a real time saver. It means when I’m teaching the younger children, I don’t need to worry about leaving the classroom to find a sound effect or music. I can source it instantly on my device and don’t need to leave the students alone. And it’s so easy to use that there’s always plenty of opportunity for them to get hands-on and operate the system themselves.”
